Stores Assistant job Duties and responsibilities:

Role

Operate stores procedures to receive, store and issue materials in order to meet demands of Estates operation and other University Departments.

Duties and responsibilities:



Goods Inwards:

    Receiving deliveries

    Expediting via phone and email.

    Checking correct goods.

    Booking in goods

    Returning faulty goods.

    Supporting trade counter where appropriate

    Reporting on stores tasks on excel

    To ensure smooth operation of goods inwards, accurate stock records and avoiding order/invoice problems.

    Support with general tasks as required

Skills and experience:



    Good standard of education, GCSE level or equivalent.

    I.T. literate, especially SAP experience and Microsoft packages

    Good communication skills, ability to communicate with internal and external customers at all levels.

    Experience of working in a busy stores environment desirable

    Good telephone manner.

    Proactive in dealing with queries, customers’ requests

    On the job Training will be given
