Our client is a start-up SME engineering company enabling carbon reduction across a range of sectors with unique high-speed electric motor IP. 


We are looking for a capable and versatile Finance Manager to lead the team day-to-day based at our technical center in Lamington Spa (with flexibility for hybrid home working).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team of three – transactional finance and management accounts
  • Review management accounts and month-end reporting
  • Drive a key focus on program profitability, materials, scrap cost management, stock and working capital
  • Provision of insightful weekly/monthly MI
  • Planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensure tax and VAT accounting accurate and fully compliant with legislation
  • Oversight of all Treasury activities
  • Challenging business and commercial operations
  • Business Partnering with operations
  • Creating a high value reporting whilst driving continuous process improvements
  • Qualified Accountant with prior experience of operating at a Finance Manager level managing multiple stakeholders
  • Commercially focused but with strong corporate compliance skills
  • Ability to breakdown complex situations for different audiences
  • Ability to work across the whole business including sales and operations
